Catalyst breaks out a dedicated Systems Admin interface

Catalyst does a lot — and the people who run it day to day don't all do the same job. This release breaks system administration out of the main app and into its own dedicated interface, built only for Systems Admins.

One interface, one role

The new Systems Admin interface gathers everything platform operators care about in one place: storage configuration, catalogs, databases, reactors, app config, feature flags, audit logs, security, a terminal, and a live health monitor — with infrastructure management alongside.

Storage is a good example of the depth on offer: manage S3 buckets and namespace routing for Apache Iceberg tables across bronze, silver, gold, and sandbox tiers, and configure separate storage for workload logs and unstructured data — all without leaving the admin surface.

Concentrated UIs for every role

This is the first piece of a broader simplification of Catalyst's core functions. Rather than one sprawling interface, each role gets a concentrated UI that supports exactly what that role does:

• Systems Admins — platform settings, infrastructure, and health
• Datalake — the storage and table layer itself
• User Administration — accounts, roles, and access
• Data Shepherd — stewarding data quality and lineage
• Data Wrangler — shaping and transforming data
• Data Product Builder — assembling data into products agents can use

Systems Admin ships first; the rest follow the same pattern. Less hunting through menus, more doing the job in front of you.
